2 Rude Bio
Music is my passion, music is my savior
from this life that we all live; music can bring enlightenment,
love, emotion, hatred, and reveals the deepest feelings that an
artist can present. I would like to introduce myself to you all, my
name is 2 Rude and if you want real, legit music that can influence
and amaze, then you found your man.
My birth name is Jason M. Hofstetter and I was
born in the city of Aurora, Colorado on January 26, 1990. I’m 17
years old and I have been producing and writing music since I was
14, and I have been at it ever since. You’re probably wondering how
a kid like me got into music. It all began when I first heard the
sounds of Eminem on his first LP, it drew me in and I was astonished
by the way the sound was and how it just made me want to get up and
get out and do the same thing, it became my childhood dream and soon
enough it became reality. As time went on I began to listen to all
sorts of genres of music and all types of artists, and each day as I
blasted my speakers and followed the bang of the drums and the
on-point lyrics, I knew I had to do something, I had to pursue this
hip-hop life and follow the lead of those that built a foundation
and created a revolutionary form of art. It was my time to begin a
new chapter and have the whole world see that dreams really can come
true.
I began recording my recently
finished debut album, “Rude Awakening” in the year of 2005. At the
time I was still young and in the process of finding my true style,
one that no one has heard, this was no easy task. It took practice
and lots of it. The first verse that I wrote that I knew was worthy
of recording was the track entitled, “About 2”. It had potential,
but there was always room for improvement, nothing is ever good
enough in this industry, you must always out do the next and keep
rising above all others. From then on it just clicked, everyday I
would write, and write, and write; it became an everyday hobby for
me. Track after track all the components of a completed record were
on the rise and soon enough “Rude Awakening” was finished. The
production of the album mostly came from a software program that the
Apple Company invented that is called Garage Band. I first started
using the software in middle school; at first I just fooled around
and made simple beats with no complex sound just a basic rhythm and
sound. I later became more advanced in producing beats with Garage
Band and figured that I could use this in my own music and produce
an album single handedly with the skills that I have. I produced
beat after beat and cut the weak ones and kept those that fit the
sound that I was looking for. Every beat that you hear on my album
is produced by me on Garage Band, with the exception of track 8
entitled “Smooth 27” which was produced by a friend of mine named
T-Cash.
The game is in need of something,
there is an ingredient missing from the recipe; I just hope that we
can find it. There is so much more to this business than just what
meets the eye. So many artists these days are just fake and will do
anything in order to get a pay check, it’s a sad state of affairs.
Mostly what you hear on the radio everyday is a perfect example of
when an artist stops doing the music because they love it; they do
it for the money, the girls, the glamour and the glitz and the
spotlight. Now don’t get me wrong, we all make music for income and
to have fun, but all the talent will fade if you don’t keep your
music true to yourself, and true to the public eye. I’m sure it
seems like I’m just bashin on all music out there but my own. That
isn’t the case. I dig a lot of artists out there, some commercial,
some underground. I listen to the people that throw their heart into
it and don’t give a shit about what people have to say. The artists
that try to make a difference in the industry, we do it for the
music and that’s that. In the end there will always be beef because
others just get jealous and want to hate and retaliation is the only
answer. But there is always someone better than the next.
Thanks for the support that
everyone gives me and look out for new music. Much love. Peace
ya’ll?
